Lyons textile design from the fifth decade of the eighteenth century. It is often interpreted with whimsical nonchalance, the “chinoiserie” design is an exquisite rococò expression, that is always in search of a “gracious, elegant, carefree style where any genre is acceptable except for those that are boring.
