Nasij

Design inspired by one of the so called “tonacelle of William II Sicily”, preserved in the cathedral of Regensburg. Probably the work of the Muslim weavers from Turkestan or China, dated between 1280 and 1370, illustrates the preference given by the Mongolian rulers for nasij, ie the fabrics woven with threads made out of gold threads.
